THE RISE UP SYMBOL

For decades, THE TRADITIONAL PEACE SYMBOL—the ND (Nuclear Disarmament) sign—has featured lines pointing downward, a gesture born from a time of deep global despair. While it remains a pillar of activism, we believe it is time for the a RISE UP symbol to reflect our current momentum, strength, and power. 

Why We Are Reversing the Symbol

At Rise Up Merch, we are literally turning the tide. By reversing the internal lines to point upward, we transform the symbol into a tree of life, a path forward, and a visual representation of growth.

From Despair to Ascent: While the original sign was a somber plea for disarmament, the upward symbol is a call to action.

  A Symbol for the Future: It represents our collective ability to rise above division. It is no longer just about the absence of conflict, but the presence of active, rising progress.
